Its hard to believe these super car stockers are running faster than the best AH cars with prostock technology. Crazy fast!!

Mathematically speaking they have the potential to be in the 7s at the Dutch or other fall races at standard weight and everyone gets the new car bugs worked out.

Holbrook has been quickest of the Cobra Jets but Kevin Skinner, Chuck Watson and Anthony Bongiovanni is right there and I would count any of them out.

The COPOs certainly are going to go 7s as well.

In FS/AA, which they will be in at the Dutch, they can weigh 3333 lbs. (575 factored HP X 5.50 class minimum weight break = 3162.5 lbs.+170 lbs. driver weight = 3332.5 lbs.), which means that they both can remove 217 lbs. The question is can either of them remove that much weight? No matter what happens, it should be a great show.
I didn't realize they got to weigh less hmm what's the FS/AA index 9.40? So they will take a hit hmm tough call.

Denny, the Dutch is a National Open; AHFS is not in effect at National Open events, so there won't be a hit. They can go as fast as they want with no penalty.

I was thinking the same thing while watching Indy on all access. Also thinking they should not be part of stock eliminator, but that's another topic.

Agreed. That's a huge jump in ET. Hell, it took us an entire season to go from an 8.0 to a 7.9. 😀

But I don't think the tire is a limiting factor. We've gone 7's on a much smaller tire. As many others have as well.

That is so totally awesome. You should bring your car. You should fit right in with the rest of them.

Fitting right in isn't something we do very well.

I believe Bruce just nailed it right here.....sorry guys but I can't get toooo excited about these cars , you see,....my personal FUN meter was pegged when Bobby DeArmond towed cross country in search of the nines. A/SA is a true stock eliminator class..
