I don't understand that because it says "S/SS" the entry fees become out of line. I pay $40 to win $800, locally, they want $75 to win $750 based on 25 cars. So, if there is 80 cars they still pay $750. I guess the guys who just want race for the trophies should race there.

I've warned people repeatedly, all of these great programs have failed because racers snubbed them. Well, now they're all gone.

I hope to be racing again real soon as my car is almost done, but saying that, what is the big deal paying $75 or $150 for 2 days racing. I remember paying $160 to race at a NHRA Divisional race just to make 4 passes all weekend? Even won 1st round. I don't know what the payouts are at these Divisional events either. I agree with Micheal Beard, probaly better to support these programs. Just my opinion.

There is nothing on the flyer about a sliding scale of payout per car. The promoter only has to pay what is on the flyer in most cases. If it is better then it appears, then so be it.
Michael, I plan on attending the Foot brake race with my E/S stocker on Sunday in Ohio on way home from Indy unless I hurt the car or qualify. I like the entry $100 to win $5K. Casey Miles 248H Stock Last edited by Casey Miles; 08-04-2016 at 10:27 AM. Reason: grammar |

Gaylon is a good guy known him from the old B/M days heck not many trying to help the class racers BETTER support them or soon will be gone! M Beard put on great paying races for the class cars and it is gone now! NHRA treats you guys and gals like crap but amazes me why you keep on doing it? Maybe one day they will get some one with a SACK and start respecting the sportsman racer!
Pretty sad 2 weeks ago a foot braker won a race that payed same as Top Fuel! Bracket racing is doing really good look at the payouts some of them are having pre entry races and selling out in just days! M Beard good luck on your race coming up they always do well! |

Good evening. I wanted to invite all the S/SS racers to the Great American Bracket Race Sept 9-11. We had 30ish entries last year and hope to have more this year.
I normally not big on this but plenty of S/SS racers have expressed interest in event and paying $1,000.00 to WIN instead of $750. The new purse will have the same total payout as flyer shows. The new purse will be based 25 entries. WIN-$1,000.00 R/U-$300.00 Sem-$100.00 Britt and I are definitely up more bumping the purse up with more entries. Worth noting, during eliminations this is a bracket style race even if both entries racing are the same index. |

Casey,
If we have 80 S/SS entries you will be racing for more than $1,000.00 to WIN. I am new to the S/SS scene but the bracket racers know I look out for the racer. Hope to see you there. |
