Anyone else having a problem with All Access this morning?? Mine is telling me to come back tomorrow.. I guess all rounds of all classes do not count on Thursday... I'm still laid up from my surgery and sure does make the time pass quicker... Not into Soap Operas and getting tired of re-runs of Mountain Men, Alaska Bush People, and the like...... .....

NHRA screws us AGAIN. I bought the All Access package a few races ago. They promised to cover ALL the races start to finish. Sportsman cars running today, I am in Las Vegas so I go to all access and it says "Come back in 23 hours. No audiocast of course. Oh there's "Live timing" not the same.

From NHRA.com: For just $99.95 per season, race fans will get wire-to-wire coverage of racing action Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, including in-venue announcing and video feed directly from the Sunoco Vision big-screen display. A subscription also entitles you to Video On Demand (VOD) viewing of previous 2016 events starting with the Circle K NHRA Winternationals.

There is nothing but sportsman action on Thursday and who would watch that??

I am not really defending NHRA for how slow they get people pitted and parked and Tech'd but it was never an easy or quick process.

Years past we would sit in a shopping center parking lot and I slept in a racecar at the Brunswick Square Mall behind the stores.....we then would get sent to the field and wait to get tech'd out there or something like that.

Maple Grove same scenario.....shopping center parking lot...

Less cars today for sure so you'd think after so many years they'd work on making it more efficient....NOPE...

My $340 is still in my pocket.....LOL

Talking Re: "Live From" The Summernationals at Englishtown

Hi gang-hard to believe I've been here two days and haven't typed two words but now have a temporary fix and can get the boss off my back-and believe me he's already talked about docking my pay.

Racing ??Here at Raceway Park things were up and down - many , many fast cars couldn't hook today .Others were hooking and giving the fans (yes, there were fans)some great wheelstands in both stock and s/s .And then there was David Barton - he didn't get the memo-and went out and made the fastest COPO pass recorded .8.32 @ almost 165 in a stocker ???? And on a nine inch tire .....Hmmmmm !!!!! So much for those who said it was slow because of the headwind etc.Talk about making a statement ....

Tomorrow we'll be getting the last qualifying run in stock and s/s will run class followed by the first round of eliminations for stock in the afternoon .
And yes, it's good to be back .
More in the morning .....

I ask John Calvert if I could post his unfortunate engine failure. John had sparkplug go bad on his qualifying shot. It hurt the piston and scratched the cylinder wall. John traveled cross country to be here, and going home was not an option. With the help of many friends, he will be back racing tomorrow. The photos speak for themselves, yes the engine had to come out. Jim D'Amore from JDM had the parts, piston, rings and the engine hoist. Jimmy Ronzello was just one of the guys helping get John back into the program. With all the negative here on Class Racer, it sure is refreshing to see racers come together and help a fellow racer in need.

Ken that's what the drag racing family is all about, we may be a bit dysfunctional at times but we do come together in times of need.

Smile Re: "Live From" The Summernationals at Englishtown

Good morning - And welcome to day two of the Summernats here at Old Bridge Twsp Raceway Park .It's bright and sunny this AM and you couldn't ask for more with the temp at a crisp 63 degrees and the humidity at 46% with vapor pressure .26 and the barometer at 29.91 adds up to a final DA of 745 - yep, it will be good this morning ! !

In a little over three hours Stockers will hit it first and if they hook .....big numbers for sure .Ken and I will be back later with some pics of the action .BTW, one other thing - it's still a bit windy out there but now a crosswind but that could change .

Also - it's really nice to see our West Coast friend Mr.Calvert getting some help from racers who care enough to jump in and see him compete today - kudos to them .

later....Sorry about the spacing -still getting used to a different computer.
