I sure hope NHRA realizes the great service you provide for our Association's Members and Drag racing as a whole. Not every grass roots effort is in competition with them. It seems that they have some people that never raced and certainly don't understand racers trolling around here. I understand brand protection and management. That being said, I think they need a more open dialogue with regards to what relationships can be supportive vs ones that are not. There is no question in my mind that you support NHRA and racers. It is also clear that you serve a need that NHRA has no understanding or interest in filling. Maybe they should be paying you.... Hope that they actually listen and understand. Jim

I hope Mike Dunn goes shopping to convert some of the current NHRA track's to IHRA - we enjoyed the short lived experience we have had with IHRA right down to how you gain entry to parking at the national events just my $.02 but they seemed to be much more Sportsman conscious - But in any event "Good Luck" with NHRA and their contract - Bob

I so agree with Jim on this! What is NHRA afraid of? Are they afraid that WheelzUp Radio will increase their car counts, spectators in the seats, enthusiasm for the sport? Does that scare them to the point that they have to "tax" them enough that they just can't afford to do a show from the race? This is nothing more than just plain old STUPID of NHRA to restrict promotion of their own race! If WheelzUp Radio was such a threat to NHRA why haven't THEY instituted a live radio broadcast themselves? Lord knows the new FOX TV coverage of the Sportsman racing sucks more that the past ESPN coverage! I really had hope for that change. I know personally that the guys (and gals) at WheelzUp Radio are a great bunch and are not in it for the money but for the good of the sport. I have been lucky enough to be on the radio program twice and had a ball! I also sponsored the broadcast from the Gatornationals through my carburetor business this year. Money well spent as far as I'm concerned! I have an idea, if NHRA doesn't want WheelzUp Radio at their races, maybe they should try IHRA out! I'm pretty sure they would welcome the added publicity with welcome arms! Jim
