"Entry" - $210
"Insurance" - $110
------------------------
Total - $320

It's almost comical at this point. Not going to miss it.

This insurance fee is the biggest scam NHRA has going! What coverage do we get for our money???

I always contended the pro teams should pay this, since they do not pay an entry fee and get paid to qualify! Since on 15-16 show up for most races, very seldom does a pro team leave the track paying anything to enter that race.

The sportsmans insurance fees cover the entire event insurance for everyone on site. Without a doubt it is a scam on the sportsman racers.
Spectators, vendors, racers, crew, everyone on site is who we are paying coverage for. This came from the representative who I had to deal with when involved in an on track accident.
If you ever try to collect good luck.
I was told my own personal insurance is my coverage and the insurance I paid for in my entry was excess coverage once my insurance was maxed out. Not to cover co pays or deductables. If you are involved in an on track accident get ready to pay your own way. The insurance paid for in my entry paid a big "0". I paid out of pocket for my co pays and deductable and forced to use my insurance. NHRA was represented by a claims service out of Bank of America when I had to deal with them and was threatened yes threatened in no uncertain terms with legal action against me if I tried to collect any of my expenses. Every time the wife talked to the Bank of America rep. she ended the call in tears. They were not very nice to deal with and ended up paying nothing.

An time you deal with Bank of America you are going to get the short end, whether it be coverage, mortgage or banking. If I didn't get a lawyer when dealing with them I would have been totally screwed. They lie, mislead, misrepresent, cheat and are greedy.

Several years ago I had a speaker fall on my car during a storm. The track which is NHRA owned covered everything in a very courteous and prompt manner. Total satisfaction.

Concerning the insurance fees that the sportsman have to pay is another story though. Remember that insurance companies are just as bad as banks, unscrupulous. Think about this, who do you think regulates the insurance board of your state, that's right, the insurance companies themselves, no further questions.

And then you combine the insurance company with BOA.....beware.

Oh yea, I forgot, BOA services big time banks like BONY, a big time player.

We have to just face it, NHRA ain't what it used to be or intended for.
