Now to the meat of the post. If you have a pet: pickup and cleanup after it. In my opinion if you can't pickup after your pet stay at home.

We have two dogs ,one cat and six or more squirrels that drive the cat and dogs crazy. Gosh they are fun to watch. We hit the brakes so as not to kill rabbits, possums, skunks, turkeys, deer and the rest of the animal kingdom. I love the taste of a lot of animals when cooked to perfection.

Someone has been letting their pet poop in everyone else's pits without cleaning it up. That is just plain rude!!!!

Also by NHRA regulations, you are required to have an exhaust pipe up if you are running your generator. Evidently Division 7 is not enforcing this rule! That is also rude and could be deadly!

Come on people, do what is right!

By the way, if that dog gets caught in our pits again, it won't be pretty!!
This is something that has long been needed to bring up! As a lot of you know I have a rather large "Race Dog" Tonka. He was a gift to me from some wonderful racers as a surprise after losing my first "Race Dog" Hershey. I never travel without doggie poop bags and usually have one on me at all times. It is my job as a dog owner to take care of any mess Tonka makes! I get very irritated at dog owners who find it too much of a chore to pick up after their dogs! If this is the case, leave the dog at home! There is nothing more frustrating than trying to clean dog poo off of your fire retardant shoes!! Jim

Nope, no open RV or fixed generator exhaust around my little space at the races.

At the fall NASCAR race Danika Patrick was photographed numerous times by local late model racers walking her dogs and letting them do there business and just walk away.. One of the crew confronted her about the random bombs left behind.. She said you dont like it, clean it up yourself.

i know this is a sensitive subject, and I know it does not matter, but I have to ask. Is the generator in the motor home, or is it a stand alone generators like the little honda 2000 eu that is sitting on the ground by itself. Just curious. I go to the national event sometimes and I see the NHRA credintals trailer with a generator running next to it, and it does not have a exhaust pipe. I try to have a exhaust pipe on my stand alone generator, but depends on where I am at and how much I run it, I do not run my generator all the time when I am at the track. Only when I need to. Just want your short answer Steve williams Division 3 S/g

Just like politicians, "the rules are made for thee, NOT for me"!

The small generators that are not attached or mounted in an RV or trailer are not required to have a stack. It does not matter if a mounted generator runs for 5 seconds or 24 hours it has to have a stack. We are talking about a rule that helps to protect fellow racers from serious injury.

While we are on this subject, how about when you pit next to someone that has the latest and greatest sound system and plays it till the wee hours of the am. Seems like most of these guys and gals always show at the Bowling Green pts. meet.

Well I did not know that a generator that was not in a rv or trailer was not required a exhaust pipe. Seems like I don't understand why.
