i'm again doing suspension work out of Dave Collette's shop. When I put the Cuda up for sale it was offered to him for purchase and he didn"t go for it. He and I have many times talked about that, and he sure wishes he took it., as much as I wish I never let it go.Race cars were not worth dirt then, some are good as gold now..Could you supply me with these pictures of my car as I have almost none .Be glad to cover cost of copies. |

Looks like fairly recent updates done to this car. Any old pictures or information from it's earlier life? Is it an original big block car Jack?

Site for sale in December. The owner that had no history to help, but the name of who he picked it up from, who lived in Texas. I contacted him and not much help their only that he was pretty sure it had been on the west coast at some time before he purchased it. Being a 67 Dart big block must have been installed to race as floor altered to clear the 727 auto trans, an it looks like it was done the time the coil overs and bars were installed. The car was in Super Gas when I purchased it. No dash and lexan all around, glass doors, hood and trunk. Most everything cut out of inside interior. Sorry I can't offer more it's all I know at this time. |

Yep, that's my car. Sam purchased it from Sox & Martin April 28th 1969, I drove it for him and then purchased February 2,12,1970, then went to the Carpinet's on July,14,1973. They still own it! Wow, talk about a car to restore to S&M's collection. $$$$$

Looks like it was constructed some time in the mid 8's as the axles are Moser from that era (can tell by casting of M/E on outer flange) Also I am sure the Alston rear suspension (small spherical ends in bars) and back half are from the same time frame. Car is about 85 percent done now and will be N/SS, but still would like to know some history and previous owners THANKS....JACK |
