There is no such rule. Stock says 48" or to rear bumper.

Sadly, (or perhaps mercifully) Roy Hill didn't make it back for round one of class eliminations. His Indy is over. Everyone can sleep tight tonight.

Thank you Kevin for your insightful reports, but tone it down a little Ken will be expecting big things from us amateurs!

I want to say THANKS to all the people who have made this thread FUN. The photos of racers and their cars, the videos and the comments about the action at INDY.
I assume Roy Hill is O.K. after his altercation with the wall. Roy has been doing this for a very long time and is an accomplished racer. Every high horsepower car has the potential of getting loose or going sky high. Fortunately no one got hurt or worse, and the car can be fixed. Let's keep this thread about the live action from the U.S. Nationals at Indy. Yes, that includes discussion about wheelstands, but not about the rules or who needs driving lessons, or wheelie bars.

On a positive note regarding wheelstands...Steve Ficacci put his great looking D/Stick Camaro almost on the bumper in Q3 this morning, grabbed 2nd gear in the air, kept it straight and ran a 10.46 (if I remember correctly). It was awesome... I'm sure pictures will appear soon!
