Default Re: stocker re-wiring

I wired my Mustang with a street strip kit from Painless. One of the Universal Muscle car kits. It looked daunting but the instructions were clear and it all worked fine until a stuck float bowl and a starter spark burned all the under hood wiring down. I rewired it myself and it still works. Not as neat and still needs cleanup, though. The key to wiring is a basic knowledge of electricity and planning. Lots of planning. Go through either the Painless Performance website or find their products on Summit or Jegs and look at the posted instructions. They will tell you a lot about what you need to know about wiring a race or street strip car.

If you can skip things like windshield wipers, turn signals and brake lights, things get a lot easier. Trust me on this...
