Saturday will be my first time atTVD, my first MCR race, my first 1/4 mile run in the Nova and only my second time running the car since I bought it! I'm very excited and a little nervous.

Getting lots of phone calls where to stay around Marion looks like we could have some very interesting racers showing up. Should be a great weekend

My youngest son and I ( Irving Family Racing ) will be racing the 1973 Roadrunner that used to belong to my oldest son.
Please stop by and say Hi......We don 't get back here very often and I would enjoy having a face to put with the names of all the folks we chat with in here! John Sr.

Good luck to everyone at Thunder Valley this weekend! Wish I was there sounds like going to be a great turnout. Can someone do a little "live from" reporting for those of us interested fans from a far? At least post the qualifying sheets

I can't quite do a "Live From" on this iPhone, but here's a little bit of an update: we had 59 cars today. 4,000 ft DA with bad barometer and big humidity. Dave and I both went out in rd 3, so not too bad of a day. Forgot to get a picture of the Q sheet but Richard M in the C10 truck was #1 at a bunch under. $2k Winner was Dave Picht in the D/S Mustang, and he will also collect the extra $100 from Terry Grosz (sp?) for winning with a stick car. Do it all again tomorrow!

Dan and I had a great day too for the first runs on our car although my driving was less than spectacular and we went out first round. Paul and Dave were some of the great running stick cars that were at Marion. I don't know what the percentage of stick cars was but there were a lot of them and that always makes it fun to watch. Really looking forward to a little more practice on the tree today.
