Jim, very fair comments. Sometimes I am tempted into at least commenting since I have been there in most situations in Class racing. Racer, Race Organizer, Sponsor, and have had business building Class Cars. By the way how many cars are in your class at a national event? or in the country? You are to be congratulated for your work on your combination.
I speak from experience of having 13-17 class cars to beat and found it more fun than the bracket dial in mode but that is my experience. Thanks again. Good looking Pinto. I notice you do compete in a modified class where no hp factoring issues can affect your competitiveness. Good Luck. Last edited by Dick Butler; 04-08-2015 at 10:22 AM. Reason: Added information |

I personally don't want to change anyone's class. I just think a mod class that is easy to police, affordable to run, and accepts all three big brands would bring more attention to drag racing. Let's all be honest. If we stopped 10 different people on the street and asked them for example, who Dick Butler was, I doubt anyone would know. 30 years ago 3 out of the 10 would have been able to answer. And that's not a slam at Dick. It's just the way it is. Something needs to bring it into focus, and heads-up helps.
