I'm afraid it's a done deal. Ozzy Moya (owner of Orlando Speed World and Lakeland Dragway) has purchased SGMP from the previous owner but the NHRA has yanked the race from SGMP and all three races will be contested at Gainesville. I would think there will be something official soon. Jim

Byron yes it was to be run as scheduled but yesterday out of the blue he was told they were moving it to Gainesville. D2 director was even at the sale. Not sure what NHRA is thinking on this one.

That Sucks!! I guess on the plus side you can come back from Orlando, stop in Gainesville and find a good parking spot for the next 30 days, LOL

You'd think everyone in Division 2 lived within a 250 mile radius of Gainesville. And could take off 4-5 weeks at one time to race. I've often thought those of us here in Tennessee should just go Division 3.

Guess I will see yall in Montgomery, LOL I might make the newly moved Gainesville race but I work a regular job that I am needed at and can not take that much time off that close together.
