How many of the racers in the Super Gas and Super Street have off set spindles?
Right side vs left side. What is the max you can off set in NHRA Super class? I have a tube frame I am putting together and was thinking of having Rt & Left sides off set. 110" WB on the left and 109"WB on the right side. Is this legal? Any comments or suggestions Thanks for the help. Please no negative comments |

We run a older Mike Bos comp dragster in S/C that has the offset front wheels. We recently brought the chassis to him and had a new front end put on.. after long conversations we did away with the offset, Mike's point was the offset is really only usefull in Qualifying classes like comp Or alcoholic.

yes not a good idea in a pro tree index class. it will slow you reaction time a little.

Isn't that the idea? Leave earlier without going red? Just like more roll out?

Ed. please explain how this would be an advantage when throttle stopping to 9.90 or 10.90 index. they have delay boxes so they don't go red.

More roll out is great for a faster ET it is bad for reaction time.

One car has staggered wheelbase the other does not. If the staggered wheelbase car rolls through the beams and the other car pops out of the beams with a wheelie and both vehicles have identical reactions times and both vehicles have identical et's. Doesn't the car with the staggered wheelbase get to the finish line first?
