No, this car was not a wagon. I don't think they raced it at any national events--maybe a division 4 race or two-don't know.

The only other thing I remember about it was that it had big A-1 Trans decals on it. So I assume they were running an A-1 converter. I think they were #1 at the time.

So that brings up another question. What are the top brands of converters that most Stockers run today ?

What brand of converter is about like what oil... what ever the person is running is the best in their eyes! I have a couple of ATI's and have been happy with their service. You do see a lot of stockers with ATI stickers.
There are several other good ones out there, including some of the people responding on here.

I here diffrent opinions about the 305 in the 77 nova . Some say it's not worth worth the trouble . The 6 cyl that came in it has that ****ty intrigal cyl head and is useless . I think the 350 has been done to death 1000 times over and over . may be a diffrent combo ? All togeather .

Well, if you're going to do a late Nova, you're pretty much stuck with a 6, a 305 2V or a 350. If you're hearing "different opinions" about the 305 2V being a good combo then either you're willing to spend more than I would be (a Dime) to build a combo, you want to build a "fast" combo or you're listening to the wrong people!

I won't go into my rant here to encourage you or anyone else to do anything. But I remember the same "opinions" about the 305 4-bbls when they were at 230.
