I use the AEM brand "Wideband Failsafe" a/f gauge.
In addition to recording the a/f, it logs manifold pressure and samples 20 times per second. I like the ability to program it to activate the failsafe function if the afr gets too high.

I would recommend the AEM as well. It's priced well and offers much more than just a gauge readout.

http://aemelectronics.com/files/inst...fe%20Gauge.pdf In my opinion it's the best looking gauge as well. The readout is really nice and it's very configurable. http://www.aemelectronics.com/?q=pro...failsafe-gauge ![]() |

On the AEM Failsafe, the data logger is built into the gauge. On my car, I have a toggle switch that turns on the +12V to the Failsafe, and about 4 seconds later it starts logging. Then after I pass the finish line, I turn the switch off. Then when I get to the pits I download the run. It's a nice piece of equipment, and because I run an EFI system with alot of boost and only 4 injectors, I need a device like that for extra insurance. Here is a pic of my setup within arm's reach while belted up. ![]() This is what the download will look like on the computer : (It plots one of those yellow blocks 20 times per second) ![]()
