X2 VP can't touch Sunoco on price even when comparing their 110 leaded fuel. I live 5 minutes from the east coast distribution center for VP and they're more expensive than the track. Insinger has a warehouse about the same distance away where I get 55 gallons for less than $8.50 per gallon. Car is just as consistent and, what potential performance gains that can be had with VP's more "exotic" fuels do not justify the cost for me.

According to their web sites, there's actually quite a difference between leaded 110 race gas brands.
Sunoco 110 is 106 Motor Octane
VP 110 is 107 Motor Octane
Renegade 110 is 18.5 Motor Octane

Seeing that, which one would you expect to be faster?

Wonder if racing gas will drop in cost like regular gas ? I run a Sunoco gas station , my cost for tomorrow is 2.29 , been dropping about .10 a day last couple weeks . I always felt VP has been taking advantage of the racer . Glad to see the change , I feel everyone will be happy with the Sunoco fuel .

Other posts have said race fuel is chemical based, not a hydrocarbon base like gas and diesel. As far as fuel to fuel there are charts out there that show what crosses over. What I have been told that Sunoco has no replacement for C25 and in end of year testing the pros cars and bikes slowed down a lot with Sunoco. Comp I was also told has to use Sunoco. Tom

Whats with VP. giving discounts for top 10 in your class . If thats the case I over payed for fuel in 2014 , at least thats how I see it from the letter I just opened for VP. And they are going to run the same top 10 in 2015 so this is a heads up if had a goog year in the points ....
