New SO class. How about SO/N 70 or older car, factored hp @ 8.25 lbs. 11.10 index no ahfs. Old time shoot out.

Larry even if you updated to the V10 there is no SOL. It wont run if you remove all 10 coils.

OK R. J. Pay attention. By Nitro Joe's stats through Sept, there were 95 A/SA cars and 97 B/SA in addition to 21 A/S and 27 B/S, and this is in the middle. I think in trying to get some more excitment into Indy, trying to get more done would just turn the whole process away with NHRA, and let's face it, those guys are not staffed real well up there. I personally would like to see more and personally no AHFS at all, but I think my fingers will wear out before that happens. (That is from typing in case I lost you somewhere in there) A & B are the most populated classes next to each other. Maybe not allow a weight difference between stick and auto????. Can I say SS/AH Just some ideas. RJ, you unfortunately are with me in some new class by himself (or herself-I'm not sure about you) and run the combo in Indy. If my count is right, there are 53 classes now in Stock, and add 12 new classes, then I think you lose 3 that just roll over, so that is 62 classes +/-. Test 1st period Friday. The SO/N is my creation subject to who knows what. Shoot Out/ Nostalgia

Jeff, I like the idea; it sounds like Top Stock in a way (same weight break even). One small suggestion would be, make it 8.5 pounds (B weight) to allow some C cars to compete as well. I would be willing to bet that A, B and C are the three most popular classes, car-count wise. 8.5 pounds opens it up, more easily, to allow more cars to compete, so the C cars wouldn't have to remove 300 pounds to run, should they so desire. Also, 1972-older cars, since 1972 was about the last year of the really high-HP cars. Just a thought(s).

In the past in top stock, you could remove a battery and a seat right? I'm trying to figure out how light I could get my car if this ever happened. I couldn't get to 8.25 or 8.5, but I may be able to get close enough to have some fun at 8.5. I may need to put the driver on a diet.

Petition NHRA, your DD, your SRAC Member. This could be a lot of fun. Will need all the interest we can muster.
