Default Re: Ss/mx

It is a good class. Pretty simple engine wise, just a pounds per cubic inch class. Of course it is a non-V8 class. My uncle ran this class for many years from the Modified Eliminator days of J,K/Gas and then SS/BX and SS/AX with the Opel GT with a Buick V6. Up until recently he ran SS/TD with the same combination in a Chevy S-10 pick-up. Rich Oakes currently runs SS/BX, SS/CX, SS/GM and occasionally SS/DS(?) with his 3rd gen Camaro with a Chevy V6. Ed Newton is running SS/AX with his Monza.
Not too many heads-ups to worry about although at least one year there were 6 SS/AX'rs at Indy!
There are others on this site that can help you out more I believe.

Good luck, Have Fun!
