I agree with Ed....but fact of the matter is that everyone races under the same conditions. It is slow, but it is slow for everyone.

4800' DA this afternoon, bad head wind, and 28.60 Baro. My rings are still coming around, only run time on them was putting it in the trailer. Picked up each pass, but only went .76 under. I have zero data in these conditions with this strong of a head wind. Nobody I can compare to tested today, so I don't know if I found what slowed it down, or not. Tomorrow the cars I can compare to will run, then I will have a better idea. I think if anybody ran a second under today, they are in good shape. :-)

Good morning all! Day 1 is officially underway here at HPT. With Top Alcohol here this weekend, it's hard to tell whether or not there are more Stk/SS cars. SST has been called to the lanes, so we are not too far off from Stock's first hit. They are batting 2nd today, and SS batting cleanup. Two hits each today so long as the schedule holds, we'll be done around 1 or 2. Maybe earlier. So the heat won't be as much of a factor as it will be tomorrow. As of now, we get a hit in the morning, then on to eliminations. Stay tuned and check DRC for more info and results.
Again, a special thanks to Phil Unruh for providing the sponsorship for coverage here this weekend. Gotta love the heat!! Time to race!!

I had no idea we had any fans.....but if I did I would have brought them and mounted them inside this trailer. I will never, ever, ever, not never, ever complain about Bakersfield heat again. If you ever hear a whimper out of me about 107 degrees at The Patch you have my permission to slap me upside the head. The last time I took two showers in one day I was still single and stink suppression was my highest priority. On another note, the stocker is running right where we hoped, and if I can figure out how to drive we should be at least respectable next week.
