Not trying to discredit anyone or any combo. I always look for the real #1 qualifier. I don't count underated new cars or the odd ball car or truck that is just way underated because of lack of others interest in building them. Last year that honor IMO went to John Duzac. So having said that who will be the real number one qualifier. I know it won't be me. Barry

Heading back to the farm with a completed six cylinder short block for the truck. Thanks CP for getting pistons out to us in less then a week. Cylinder heads should be done Friday and plan to test sunday a Milan. Indy should be fun.

Charlie,
I'll give you tip on the V-8 /V-6 swap, when you look at frame mounts looks like you could slide them back and bolt 4.3 right in,but it won't, but is simple to fix. take brackets that lower motor mounts go on and slot mounting holes where lower motor mount goes and slot the holes to where you have about 1 1/2 - 2'' slots so you can slide lower mount down,I made the slots on bridgeport style mill, if don't have mill can drill row of holes close together then use carbide burr cut rest of the way, you probaly have to drill hole where frame mount bolts to crossmember also.
You may have known this but if not may save you a hour or two.
Is 350 1 pc, main? most 4.3 are 1 pc rear main, they use different flywheel than 2 pc. rear main
