OTOH, the 78 Mustang just got a hit last week for the 1.26 under per the AFHS. Will this record initiate another hit? His car is running and mines setting in the driveway. Can't gripe, just need to get to work and get the car out, LOL!

Notice that both classes at BG had about a dozen cars -1.00 under, whereas the #1 qualifier at most national events and points races can only get to about -0.985 or so under. ![]() |

Although the record from B.G. will not initiate the AHFS, I believe there will be another hit coming Tuesday for the U/SA-302 combo from the Topeka race.

Bowling Green is a great place to race! Congrats to Michael for his Nitro Plate race win! It hasn't been mentioned yet, but Alan Mackin also set a National Record. Alan set the N/SA record at 11.82 and 110MPH. Congrats, Alan!!!!! Alan and I got to run side by side, in the first 4 cylinder stock 11 second run. Alan went 11.82 and I went 11.92. That was fun!

Hey guys, sorry I didn't do any more posting on here from Beech Bend. It was such a beautiful weekend, I just sat around enjoying it all! Chris, Keisha, Aubrey, and Reagan came up and stayed with us too, so it was a really nice family getaway. They enjoyed going up to the amusement park and riding all the rides and playing at the waterpark, too. Congratulations to Matt Antrobius for his stock win and Ryan Richardson for his Super Stock win! And of course, congrats to Michael Beard for his big Combo win! And Jeff Colvert for his runner-up in Combo!
Here are a couple of pics that I did get on Sat.: ![]() Rick Winchester I/SA ![]() Jimmy Gower M/S ![]() Tommy Mattingly L/SA |

Congrats to you as well for setting the O/SA record. Well done my friend ! Also...congrats on being the first driver to break the 11 second barrier with a 4 cylinder Stocker. If only I had left 5.8 seconds earlier.....LOL After looking at Michael's pics he posted, I guess I was a little late to the teardown party...lol Got a little video of the 4 cylinder runs at Bowling Green: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8g1AG7E9QEU"]httpss://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8g1AG7E9QEU[/ame]

Mighty impressive results with both cars. 11 second 2.3L turbo's. Your hard work is being rewarded. Best of luck the rest of the season and safe racing. CONGRATULATIONS.....John

Alan - sorry I missed giving you credit for a National Record as well! I should've known. Great video, great to capture a little bit of history. The little guys ("high class" drivers?) really stepped up this weekend!
Sorry for the late pics... late nights at BG, a long day of travel home, and then come home to a desktop PC that's heading to the repair shop in the morning... ![]() Some pics... ![]() Good shady spot, at least til early afternoon! ![]() Ready to roll for Q1 ![]() Suspicious looking individuals... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
