LS1? Yes, that's a softer deal. Maybe I can help that other car get some hp.

Ed, It is ashame that the Underfactored cars have an advantage. Do not blame the owners, Blame the manufactures and NHRA.
Before you make statements on how hard people work on their stuff, you should know the facts.

We all work hard on our stuff. I was working to make mine faster before there ever was a Drag Pak.

I don't blame the ownners. It's the reps from the mfgrs, and whoever at NHRA thought (or maybe just don't know that much about it) that the submited specs were OK. But do find it a little funny when some think they are that fast just because they work hard, not because of their bogus hp factors. Some are honest about it. Some are not. I think some may just consider themselve that sharp.

Don't care who it is, how smart they are, how much money they have, or how hard they work, a legit-rated Stocker will never be the fastest SS car in the class that also has the most cars running.

You did forget to mention one important fact.....the fact that how much yourself and the owners of the new cars have benefitted from the underfactoring. I've "worked hard" on my car for over 30 years, but apparently not hard enough according to you.

We need hp off the new cars. Just too damn hard to run to the front. But, wait till yall see the new stuff coming. I think the new V6 will run U/SA. Hell everyone else is mad, why not Capt Jack. Yes, you can tell the warm weather and the season is coming around.

For all the "old" car guys, I wonder if you would tally up all the money, man hours, blood sweat and tears, and whatever else that you have thrown at your car over the years you have been drag racing and someone please tell me that y'all do not have just as much or pretty close tied up in y'all's cars as what we have in some of our cars. Now we have started with a much more advance car but we are still having to thrash to keep up with the next new car.

Let's race and be happy we can! Happy Mardi Gras everyone

Wow, late to the party for this one. So, guess I can quit working on my Mustang now and give it to the wife for a street car? She's mad I was gonna make a race out of it, LOL!

On the bright side, minimal budget for a new car is what, $250K to run the fast classes? So, maybe we can run the slow classes for $125-50K? That ought to bring a bunch of new cars to the track pretty quick.

I need to go back to work.
