New exhaust to be installed this Monday. I hope to make the 2nd maiden voyage ths next week end.
I still have some issues to resolve. This has been a major rebuild, but worth it. #5457 Curt Rees

I was invited to have dinner with the Missile guys at the 2008 Hemi Reunion one night. Oldfield, Pappas and Spehar were sitting down where I was and Dick told a story of the Iron Butterfly car having wooden drum brakes and he could hardly stop the car. Ted said those were on his D/Dart not the Butterfly. I don't know if they were all wood, or just the rears or ?
Those guys sure had a lot of interesting stories to tell.

Brother Denny builds street A-Body's with Hemis.
All of the pictured cars utilize one of his HDK coil-over / rack & pinion custom K-frames. All have a flat no-scoop hood. __________________________________________________ 71 Duster, 528 w/alum heads, Keisler 5-spd, Dana 60, 4-whl discs ![]() 72 Demon, all-alum (painted) 426, 727, Dana 60, 4-wheel discs, A/C ![]() 73 Duster, Barton 472 w/aluminum (painted) heads, 727, 8-3/4 ![]() Denny's street car - 71 Duster, all-aluminum 426, alum case A833, Gear Vendors O.D., 8-3/4, A/C, Street Rod 4-link rear w/panhard bar, Willwood brakes. This 528 still says 340 on the quarter panels (and 426 on the air cleaner).
A Dr. Gas X-pipe ahead of the Flowmasters takes the deep boom out of the exhaust note but leaves the crispness. Just a small padlock through one of the hood pins and Whoa Boy! Could I have made some money with this thing about 1970-71!!! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
