Kip was also the Stepfather to Darin Morgan.
Darin has always given credit to Kip for his career as a racing cylinder porter and builder.

My Deepest Sympathies to the Martin family. All though I never had the pleasure of meeting Kip Martin, his name is legendary in the world of Drag Racing and I have followed his racing and accomplishments for many, many years.
