About 1980, give or take a few years, Dan Rockwell from NY ran one in a hard chargin
Pinto wagon STICK....either V or W/Stock. Wheels-up starts usually...the car went ROUNDS.... Back when Stock was STOCK....OEM pistons, OEM lift, duration, and overlap on cam, OEM spring pressure, maybe OEM trans....although I heard he might have had a "enhancement" in the rear axle dept! |

Did anyone ever actually use the 250? Nowadays that would be crazy when a 302 is factored at less HP. How did it get 145hp to begin with?

Same reason people run a 302 but not a 351W 2bbl. Bad enough top end for 302 cubes let alone another 49! Not to highjack a thread, but Billy, didn't you say at one time even the bigger ports/valves of a 351M don't help and it's a bad combo too? |
