Since just about everyone is done for the year and some of you are snowed in. Here is something for you to think about. I'd like some input for a future National Dragster feature.
What are some of the most valuable cars currently racing? By that, I don't mean who has spent the most money. I'd like some input using the following criteria: Rarity Collectability Provenance (history and race wins, etc.) Desirability Originality (no clones or re-bodies) I'd also want to know if the car is still being raced and how often. Some examples that stand out off the top of my head would be Ben Wenzel's '67 Z-28, Dallas Kelly's Thunderbolt, and (I believe) Richie Pauley's '68 Cobra Jet. What else ya got? |

Div 1 racer Dave LeClaire's SS/EA 1967 Plymouth Belvedere II. Original RO23 Hemi Race car. He is the second owner. Bought it in 1968, and it has a 193 miles on it.

I think Jim Pancake has an original 1968 Hemi Cuda. I believe he parked it to race a 1968 Dart.

I would go with Marshall's dodge, Pancakes Cuda (Jerry Daileys old car) and Dan Fletcher's SS Camaro, it also has a ton of history. But once again we have a post that will turn into a popularity contest so have it.
