Dave
I originally built my 71 Mustang 351/280 as a stocker and hit the track in 1987 in I/SA .It was rated at 290 at that time. It got beat up pretty good by Bill Hawk who was really fast as well as Norm Capton in the early 90's . I think the 71 351/285 which is at 305 looks pretty good with quite a bit more compression albeit with a bit less lift. Maybe someone else can add who else helped out in the evolution up to the current 328 hp.

George Thomson also ran Joe Threatt's 72 mustang during that time and ran fast at times with it...Norm Captain was very fast with help from Len Shneider...Miss Norm, goodtimes! There have been a few fast 351 cleavland mustangs prior to those...Tex Miller is another fast one!
