I do agree its crazy even checking it unless its a heads up run. But I'm sure they have their reasons.

I'm afraid you need to get your facts straight. My Father crossed the scale at around 9:00 am and continued to drive up the main road. He did not make the left to drive up the road that fuel check was taking place, because he did not see anyone motioning for him to do so. We were parked nowhere near there so it would not make sense for him to drive that direction anyway. There are a few red mustangs that were racing at the track this weekend. I watched watched Carroll Morris drive up that road warming up his super stocker during Stock Round 1. You may have confused his red mustang with ours? In any case, I think my dad remembers what road he drove down after crossing the scale. Hope this clears things up. |

Just wondering how does the IHRA handle scales and fuel check after each round? Does this same thing happen there?

Ryan,
Sorry for the mix up. You're right, I was thinking of another Mustang. So I don't sound as stupid, NHRA was freaking out about a Mustang, but it obviously it wasn't him. |

I also wonder if it would cause a conflict to stop at the fuel check and wait for your competitor to check fuel i have only ran 3 national events in my life and they were all this year and i didnt win a round but every race i was told to move along pretty much when i arrived at fuel check which was before the scales at the 3 races i went too, so i wonder if it would be a issue if one was to stay and wait after being told to go to the pits pretty much Last edited by Brandon Peterson; 10-05-2013 at 10:07 PM. |
