You can't go wrong with his car.
Yes, Corbitt and his son bought my first bolt-on Impala SS many moons ago when I lived in the mountains of NC. Great guys! Colby was just a baby then ... Corbitt talked to me about the Camaro and even without seeing it I'm sure it's very nice and for the money you won't go wrong. Again, if I wasn't 1000+ miles away we'd pick it up. That would make a great entry level Stocker for someone.

You got it Dan.

Thanks guys. Im getting this car for $2500 with some bolt ons. Its going 8.90-9.0's already and the D/PS index is 8.50. Luckily I have several buds racing these cars so I already so I have some parts lined up. Got skinnys on the shelf and just bought some rear wheels off a fellow Classracer dude today. I have a good bud who is a computer car guru w/ a chassis dyno close by too. This oughta be fun! Pretty good starter car for a kid. Course dad will shake it down till next April when he turn 16!

PS I can see this will be the start of my downfall! LOL! My bucket list car is a 66-67 Chevy II stick SS'er. My favorite was the old Mike Thomas Caliber racing deuce. I have a 325hp 327 ratholed away and even had a Jerico on the shelf at one point.

Kenny, As Daren and Lew posted I believe the current hp for a 93 Camaro LT1 is 315 making it a natural C/PS. Min wt is 3320.

Scott and CJ. Thanks for the nice words guys, but unfortunately, there will be no commission. lol

Good luck with the build Kenny. Pure Stock IMO is the last, affordable, entry level category of class racing. Hopefully IHRA will continue to offer it for years to come.
If you need another car for your other son, I know where you can find one.

Corbitt

Right on! I love the P/S and Crate Motor concepts. Keeping it affordable, CRAZY!! LOL! Plus these both make a great platform for a double duty car. I would hate to beat on a good NHRA legal motor to bracket race it on off weekends.

Thanks Corbitt!

My 1995 Impala SS is no Dime Rocket..

Have at least $20,000 invested over the last few years.
Mostly improvements to keep it functional for racing and street.
Includes new interior, paint, suspension.
Owned it since new..changes were to make the car safe and reliable.
Car has 197k and need to drive it to the tracks

IT does have Jeff Warren built engine.
Helps racers know it was built legal.

IMHO it is just as expensive order a new complete Moser Rear Assembly.
Then adding new gears, posi, axles and longer studs separately.

Exactly but I don't know that the Crate Motor cars haven't slipped into the land of big dollar engines. I don't speak from experience but believe they are just as costly as running an NHRA class. Our Pure Stock has the stock, unmolested (other than a Bullet cam) 53,000 mile LS1 and should go a second under in good air. We can also drive it anywhere we like and aren't afraid to bracket race it weekly. Is it a cheap car? No, but it's what we chose to build because no one else had one. We like to be unique.

Contact Mike Baker.

When racers show interest in a combination IHRA will make things work to better the sport.

Kenny:
My car has gone 12.88 on 14.05 and 8.15 on 9.10 index in great Cecil County Cold Air Day.
It needs to be heavy..4300 plus sized...Tar Heal and Corbitt know !!

AND still get 19mpg on the long road home...
