>> know any GOOD places to eat in Shreveport?

The one year after covering the IHRA Bracket Finals, me, Dennis Tarkington, and Gooch were looking for a place to eat one night. No one could decide, as we passed all of the typical fast food stuff. We kept driving, and ended up in the not-so-good part of town. I go, "Hey guys, there's Uncle Buck's BBQ!" Gooch said, "I ain't scared." and Dennis echoed that sentiment. We turned around, and stopped in. It was one of those eerie moments when we walked in the door and it got stone quiet. Nobody said anything, but in my head it sounded like, "Are you boys LOST?" We ordered, and the locals went about their business. Some even struck up a conversation after awhile.

And we had the BEST BBQ Chicken I've *ever* had!

Couldn't tell you how to find it. Go past the Micky D's and Popeyes, and keep driving till you get scared. ;-)

Adger, the Horseshoe Casino has a really great resturant and they will take your marker, chips, credit card. Bobby Brannon is the resident expert on dining in Shreveport/Bossier. On Kevin, I was just spoofin Kevin, too much time you know. Then we went to No Problem last night to test, and it was rained out. At least I'm loaded for the Friday night race. Looks like the bump spot really moved up this morning in Stock.

roughing it out with bump-ins(11) and those holding a spot(7), I have #110 as the last regular qualifier @ -.920.
#110 851 O/SA Graeme Cooper, Melbourne AU 68 Chevelle

Subject to change, my error and THE TENT. Some can still get in as alternates. There were a bunch last year.

Some good races today! Some, not so good.

Boomtown has the best seafood buffet. Superior Grill for mexican. Bears or Blind Tiger for cajun. Gator Grill is a nice quiet place for steaks or seafood.

Wink Re: Who is on the bump in Stock

Thanks for all the suggestions on the good restaurants in Shreveport but unfortunately Adger, I guess dinner at the boats in Shreveport will have to wait. Kevin found out that SW Airlines flies to Indy and now I'm being transported across the canadian border. Delwin, if you're reading this...thanks for everything and I love you guys. Unsure when I'll return home cuz' one thing is for sure...my airline doesn't fly out of Canada.

Indy wasn't good to us (Kevin claims maybe it's his shoes or not eating at Taco Bell or many of the other superstitions that he has) so it's off to the boats in Canada and to Niagra Falls. I did realize after this race just how important it is to have friends at the races and I'm thankful that he has Mark, Lee, Shaun, McCormacks, Iaccona race team, Bob, Buggs and all the others.

Guess I better go co-pilot for a while 'cuz Kevin is laughing at a construction worker that had to dive off the road due to the tornado that his trailer stirred up. Guess if we didn't get him, Mark Faul probably did. (Sorry Dude) Yep, it's definitely an adventure traveling with two drag racers. Should probably write a book about it someday; I'm sure it would be a best seller.

PS Adger, I think the plan may be to head to Memphis and Dallas so Kevin said to tell you we will plan dinner then. He is still unsure whether to follow the IHRA circuit or head south.

Take care,
Sherrie
