Time to Thank another longtime supporter of the 90 Nationals. Wayne's Auto Body & CD Design out of South Amboy, NJ have been there since I started this event in 2011. Owned by .90 Racer Tom Depascale, Wayne's is a one stop shop for all your needs to fix, paint and customize your vehicle to make it look brand new again. In the recent years Tom's son Chris has picked up the paint brushes and starting putting out some of the coolest race car designs on the East Coast.
So next time you get in a little fender bender and want it done right call Waynes or CD Design! Last edited by BKSG1198; 07-05-2013 at 10:15 PM. |

Just got some great news from Dan Northrop over at ISC Racers Tape out of Fairless Hills, PA. Dan is always coming up with some crazy ideas to give back to the racers such as the "Whoever Beats John Asta get's $100 from ISC." Unfortunately no one was able to claim that as John wasn't able to make it to the event. This year Dan and ISC Racers Tape will be presenting the "ISC Bounty Hunter Award". So you ask what this is?
All the racers who claimed a victory at the 2012 90 Nationals will have a bounty placed on them. The driver who knocks off the bounty driver in eliminations on Saturday will receive $50.00 courtesy of ISC Racers Tape and Dan Northrop! If the driver who won last year cannot make the event the person who runnered-up will get the bounty placed on them. If the driver who has the bounty placed on them wins the event, the $50.00 goes to them. So here is who you need to look for.... Super Comp: W: Franklin DiBartolomeo RU: Chris Depascale Super Gas: W: Al Dimino RU: Jake Barbato Super Street: W: Keith Mayers RU: Bob Silfies Thanks once again the Danny and the whole team over at ISC Racers Tape! |

I spoke with track owner Bob Dimino this weekend as I was up there for the MASGA Races. Just to add a few things onto the list....
As we all know the Englishtown Lucas Oil event is the weekend before the Ronnie "Uncle Buck" 90 Nationals . Anyone who would like to drop off their trailers following the event may do so to save on travel and gas / tolls. The gates will be open till about 5pm on Sunday the 8th. Numidia has someone on grounds throughout the week to check on things and about the only thing you may have to worry about is Yogi Bear or Bambi stealing anything. The place is under tight security as a lot of racers leave their stuff their throughout the week. We will begin the next round of parking at 12pm on Thursday the 12th. Also as some of you may know the NHRA Division 1 Bracket Finals will be run at Numidia the following weekend after the Ronnie "Uncle Buck" 90 Nationals . Anyone who may have qualified at their respected track and wants to leave their trailers at the track may do so. You may have to move them over to the holding area on the cold side to let D-1 come in and sort the parking. Also since the bracket finals are being held at Numidia they will be putting together 2 big dollar bracket races that will be held on Monday the 16th & Tuesday the 17th that will be open to all racers rather you made the bracket finals or not but, if you didn't make the cut you will have to remove the trailer by Tuesday evening to make way for the bracket finalist. We will park everyone on the left side of the track and run out of the tower side staging lanes which have been expanded and are great. If we have any overflow we will park them over on cold side of the track. Remember anyone who is looking for a hotel Hampton Inn in Bloomsburg is the official Hotel of the Nitroplater Stk/SS Shootout. You will have up till Aug 24th to book your room at a discounted "Racers Discount". Please call (570) 380-1020 and it's located on 255 Paper Mill Rd Bloomsburg, PA 17815. Last but, not least you still have 2 1/2 weeks left before the final pre-entry of $180 is over on Aug 1st. |

Proud to have Mike Bassin back for a 2nd year as the official "voice" of the Nitroplate 90 Nationals. Mike did the announcing for last years event at Numidia. Mike is very knowledgeable on all forms of racing as he is the weekly announcer for Mason-Dixon Dragway in Maryland. Mike also was the "voice" of Numidia during the NHRA Lucas Oil Series events back in the early 2000's. Mike will be sharing the mic with Bob Reed who is the weekly voice of Numidia Dragway, Bob Dimino & Myself.
As far as starting line / track prep prep goes....who else but, the famous Mike Summers. For all of you D-1 .90 Racers who go "That guy looks familiar?" Mike was the starter at Maple Grove Raceway and Cecil County Dragway for many years including numerous Lucas Oil Events at those tracks. Mike is one of the very few who still does it "Old School" with scraping the track everyday, using the correct glue and prepping the track in between every class with spraying and gold dust. To show you how good Mike is at last weeks Super Gas event in 2 days of racing excluding qualifying their were 20 - 9.90's put up on the board. I know If I included the qualifying sheets it would have been over 30 but, it just tells you how hooked the track was. Hope to see a lot of supporters for this event. I have put a lot of sweat into this event to make it as big as last years. I know we all have busy schedules and some say September is not a good month but, we really don't race at all in that month except E-Town and unless you travel 600 miles to Charlotte or to Columbus which the way gas is going doesn't look good at all. Hopefully we can continue to grow this event and make it bigger and bigger every year. Rob Keister www.dot90nationals.com |

Entry: $70.00 Winner: $1,000 Runner-Up: $400 Semi-Finalist: $200 3rd Round Loser: $70 *based on 32 entries If we get more per class we will up the payouts! |

Just waiting on a few more sponsorship logos but, here is the preview of the 2013 Nitroplate Uncle Buck 90 Nationals T-Shirts that will be available at the track on Sept 13th & 14th. Still have to get prices on them before they can be sold. Thanks to Jeff Serra from In Motion Solutions for doing the design.
