the potential profit part should get some attention. LOL. but seriously I can't believe a track hasn't tried the rv hookups for a fee.

I have seen some close to RV hookups. Pittsburg has electric at each pit spot. (in the main pit area) this was also free for us to use at the pro-am. they also had electric and air in the staging lanes for anyone to use. how cool was that? I also believe it was Quaker city? that had electric at your pit for a small fee.
a complete RV hookup would be a great idea with 50 amp, water and sewer for a small fee

Great Bend has electrical hookups and was free to use until last year. Very nice of them.

Talking Re: Ideas to Build a new Drag Strip

Bill Bader did that to a certain extent with Norwalk.Play ground for the kids, free. Ice cream for a $1, really can you beat that for any size let alone a pound!?!?!?! A parts store on premisis. Shower and clean bathroom facilities. I'm sure there is more.

I have not been to as many tracks as a lot of you have around the country but I'm sure someone can attest to the fact it is probably one of the top 5 drag racing facilities in the USA.

Don, Good ideas. Build something EVERYONE can enjoy while they are there. Bowling Green not only has the electric hook ups they have the amusement park. I honestly believe that is one of the reasons the early SportsNationals were a hit.Family all had a part of the day. Campground available, Water slides. I need to get to Norwalk to see that facility as I hear great stories....Your ideas should be taken more seriously by a big development group

Add to the list:
enough racer population to make a profit
good weather and no rain year-round
low entry fees
perfect track prep every time
no noise-hating neighbors with lawyers

I think its a great plan ! Evidently, it's to be in Nevada, going by #15 ! Rename the Mustang Ranch into The Camaro Corral, and whalah !

Don great thread, I enjoyed your great zest for investment. The first thing to find would be a loving city council with the Mayor in your back pocket(not an unobtainable goal, Detroit would be a good place to start or in my own backyard Montreal). Like they say, location, location an Indian Reserve would be my first choice as they're quite progressive in the entertainment and gambling field. My first requirement of any new track would be a quality Rest area with proper showers(men and woman) on a par of many Flying J's were they clean the showers after every person using it, I wouldn't have any problems paying extra for($5) wouldn't break the bank for any promoter.Noise and hotels do not go hand in hand.lol Great ideal, keep them coming. CR
