Oswego dragway in IL??
anyone have any pics from that track......from the mid 60's to the 70's

Here's a great photo of Jack Crishman's Mustang F/c at Oswego Dragway taken in 1969 that traveled around the Midwest in the the Coca-Cola Cavelcade Of Stars F/c circut that ran at Cordova Dragway, US 30(Gary,In)Great Lakes(Union Grove,Wis),Rockford Dragway (Byron,Ill.) Amber Green Dragways (Eau Claire,Wis) Tenora Dragways (Cumberland,Wis) and KK Sports Arena up in Kaukaunna,Wis. Talk to Chicago S/s racer Alex Denyshenkio he raced at Oswego for years & has lots of good stories. Think he was the track points champion about 5-years running.

Spent some of my early teen years (early/mid '60's) going to Il. tracks Byron, Cordova, and Oswego.
Sorry not a shutter bug at the time, but lots of memories. |
