There are currently 2 guys on ebay who are auctioning off some of Grumpys personal stash of misc. stuff. They have auctioned off rods, and pistons, bearings, intakes, jack stands, alignment pads, and his motor home, which they say he had in the back of his shop where he would go to take naps during the day.I won a couple of GM parts price books they said he used back in the 70s,and 80s.

Read that Grump once had a old Corvair as a daily driver. When someone questioned him about it he said"when i take it the airport i always know it will be there when i get back.No one is going to steal that POS."

I'd like see that collection in a racing museum somewhere for everyone to be able to appreciate his accomplishments rather than some person keeping it for their own.

I couldn't agree more with you Todd. All of Grumpy's stuff has significance, but that 1970 WinterNats Wally for the first ever Pro Stock race signifies a historical milestone in the sport and should be recognized as such by being in a museum.

I agree,, that trophy for sure should be in the NHRA museum, preferably with the Camaro and the Cuda,(if they're still around), in front of a wall sized photo of that particular final, from Pomona 43 years ago.
