In my opinion all of the JEG's Sportsnationals, get pretty light coverage on SUMMIT's Drag Race Central. While I appreciate all that Summit does for the sport, I think better coverage of the Sportsnationals which includes a lot of their customers would show some class.

And now for the drama of the evening----
The #1 qualifier in Stock eliminator- Jonathan Allegrucci attempted to set a record in BB/SA in his '11 Challenger 512 V10 at 9.05 which is 1.25 under the index. He was torn down by NHRA Tech for setting the record. Jeff Teuton protested him and had him to also pull a piston. He passed the tech inspection and now has the record along with 21 horsepower on Tuesday morning. Jeff Teuton, Chrysler and Arrow said to tell Ray Barton " Thanks, You ruined another one". |

Jeff, you should've just given me the $500 protest money and put it towards tuning that Southland slug of yours. I would have been more than happy to lend a hand but you're obviously too proud to ask. I'm blown away that you honestly thought we would put our reputation on the line by cheating. You really showed your true colors this weekend. At least I had the balls to go through teardown. Maybe your pistons are the ones they should be looking at. And to say we ruined the combination is plain absurd. We would still be at the top of the sheet with the added weight. This was our first outing since we updated the car. Trust me, there is lots left, I was only getting started with the tuning. Plus the air was terrible. 1750 da with 85% humidity, far from the Gainesville and Val Dosta weather. Maybe .15-.20 slower? Yes, we will be receiving a HP hit next week, but at least we are walking away with an official NHRA record in hand which means a lot in my book. |
