50th trip # 3, I got out of the Navvy in Jan 1960 & bought a 57 Chevvy 270 hp, the 1st strip that opened in 1960 was Pacemakers, so i went to race at my 1st strip in April 1960.
meet Dave Baker at his Dad's truck stop out by the track, everybody knew his Father & Mother back in the day

Woodward Ave Cruise, we went twice and I wrote this story for Crusin times magazine.
Over 2500 cars going up & down Woodward Ave parked every where.

Went in 08 & 2012 some pictures from both yrs. You would drive up & back down Woodward for 12 miles or so,

Last of cars at Woodward Ave , I know it;s not racing ,but it's something you might have heard about & wanted to see. You had to pay $20.00 to set your chair any place, who ever owned a lot or sidewalk was charging that much to set. But youi got to set & watch 2000-3000 cars go by.
