You may be pushing for a stock /superstock combo in the future by doing this.Since some of you cross over it may just give them an idea to do that very thing ...That would be a can of worms for sure...

Because they can.
In 2008, I had a gold card, so I ran my crate motor car in Stock, and drove Johnny Fisher's Mirada in Super Stock. Finished 6th in the world in Super Stock. Brian Rowe won a couple in Richie DeCola's stocker Camaro that year too. I told him they were going to come up with *minimum* tire width rule!  Quote:

Sometimes it's easier to qualify in SS then it is in Stock depending on who showed up and how many can run/will run further under the index. Sometimes if there was a lot of people running the combo in stock and few running it in SS the factor maybe more appealing that hasn't had as many/any at all HP hits.
