In 1967, once the NHRA 're-shuffled' the deck.

The GTX 440 was classed in B/S or B/SA = (9.50 - 10.59 Wt/Hp)

Class Records,
* B/S.............12.50 @ 113.17 MPH
* B/SA...........12.97 @ 114.21 MPH

If you wanted to run in the new '1967' Super/Stock classes, there was no
record in January 1967, but there was a 'minimum'

SS/E = (9.48 Wt/Hp and up)

* SS/E..........12.50
* SS/EA........13.03

By March 1967, these were adjusted for the appropriate times.

1967,

Plymouth had plans to dominate the 1967 Stock Class,

If you were able to get one in November or December 1966, and
sneak to the drag strip, you could get classed in,

* 426 'Street Hemi'........... A/S and A/SA
* 440 'HiPo'........................C/S and C/SA

But, in January 1967, the NHRA 'massaged' the weight breaks,,,,,,,,,,

I was 14 at the time and got my first Drag Strip experience because my friends Uncle Sponsored this car for some tires. Car was new and I've loved the 67's ever since. Actually owned a real nice 440 4 speed for awhile in about 1973 but it wasn't a very good "winter" car so sold it to my younger brother. No idea what became of it when he was done...
