I saw John during his last few days, He was always positive, saying he was feeling better, helping us load the race car, crawling around under the car connecting tie downs etc.
Hope to put his car in the winners circle this year, I'm sure he'll be watching....

Very sorry to hear. He and I had several competitive heads up races - lot's of fun! What a wonderful man and super competitor. Memories of our talks at the track will be great. Prayers to his family.

Thank you to everyone for all of the calls, texts, emails, cards and everything else expressing your thoughts and memories about my Dad. It's great to see all the unique characters that come out of the woodwork with stories about my all the funny/crazy/dumb things they did with him. It's like I am getting to know him all over again.

He was a part of a lot of racing history in his 50+ years on the track. It's so great to see the impact he had on people all over the country even after they lost touch.

I will miss him terribly, but his racing spirit lives on in me and my son. Everything we know about racing, we learned from him. Thanks Dad.
