This is great news for all of us who have to work both shows.

And - stop by and visit us in the Ford Racing booth at PRI and IMIS.

Just another sign that the automotive aftermarket/parts business is not in very good shape. PRI is a shadow of it's former self. And SEMA is not setting the world on fire either.

Bruce,
You need to have a beer and a smoke and relax buddy. This is a good thing.

See you at the races,

Don't smoke or drink booze but I have spent decades working trade shows, including 20 years as an exhibitor at SEMA. How is picking up dieing marketing outfits an indicator of good health in the industry? It's not. To pretend otherwise is simply foolish.

The only reason that IMIS was around is because PRI wouldn't come back to Indy as they said they would. It had outgrown Indy, Indy built larger and PRI refused to come back.

Makes a great deal of "common sense", a trait lacking in so many organizations today - including government. Vendors and attendees alike will, for the most part, benefit financially from this acquisition. Stakeholders need to work towards a stronger industry instead of competing to become king of what is an ever-shrinking mole hill.

I will be in Indianapolis for PRI 2013.

Well, 7 hrs Canadian is only like 5 hrs U.S., right?

Only been to PRI when it was at Indy. Never had time to go since its been down south. Always slam busy designing last minute PRI materials for everybody else.

I will be at the IMIS show this year -- been invited to have the Duck Tape Volare will be on display in the Hall of Champions, and will be taking part in a panel discussion with Speed Sports' Ralph Sheheen. Looking forward to it all!

who the hell wants to be in Indy in the Winter? Shorter trip but Ice and Snow. I remember Columbus Trade Show in Winter on way home. Give me Florida in December.
