Thanks Bo! I suspected it was that one, but since it didn't say CJ anywhere on the page I wanted to be sure.

Bo- Thanks for passing on the info on these.
The text will be updated shortly to reflect the Cobra Jet use. Also our original pricing was based on very low production, as we're using more of them we can pass our volume savings on to the racers. Expect a price reduction at the first of the year. Thanks, Jesse

30+ barometer, 40% humidity and 40sF. It was Natures natural NOS day. My car ran 2 tenths quicker than its best ET at Mason Dixon 2 weeks before. Best was a13.12 best yet ran a 12.92 backed up by a 12.88 at Cecil. The track was well preped despite all the breakdowns and blow ups'. There were a lot too and things for a while just ground to a halt. Some cars use to normal wheelies were making huge ones and some headed for the wall just like that Stang. Those cars definitely needed wheelie bars Saturday. D |

Since these cars for the most part are a mid 9 second ride before any mods it may not be a good starter car or a car for someone to move into that hasnt really gone that fast before. I mean no disrepect to any driver but if you go from your 13 second car and all of a sudden jump into one of these factory rockets there is going to be a pretty steep learning curve. Like Bo said "hang on tight". Any car in any class that will will run a buck under at 70% throttle has to be taken pretty serious. And yes wheelie bars would be a good for anyone that has one of these.
Just my 2 cents

I've raced at Cecil all season long from June where it was 102 degrees to November where it was 44 degrees. Track prep is as good as you'll find anywhere.
This car got into trouble as during the wheelie it drifted to the centerline out of the groove and he got back into the throttle which is what sent him into the wall. The groove at Cecil isn't terribly wide and the center portion is bare concrete. You HAVE to stay in the groove. You get out of the groove and you will be in trouble. My own car I run a 275 DOT drag radial on a stock suspension car that runs 5 teens in the 1/8 mile with a best 60' of 1.12 naturally aspirated. It's plenty of tire for the job, but proper placement of the car on the track is critical. MIR you could get away with what this driver did, but you don't have quite as much room for error at Cecil. Had he lifted when the front end came down the crash wouldn't have happened. Sad to see a brand new car get wrecked like it did. |

Your not likely to get away with turning the steering wheel that far, while it is standing up like that, anywhere. He really had it cranked around. I do feel sorry for him. I learned, back in the '70s with my C/SM car, to bury my left elbow in the arm rest while holding the wheel. That sure helped me stop moving it while it's up.
