Only combo I see worth a crap (besides the big buck solid lifter engines) is the 390/300/280.
Not a lot of cam or carb, but plenty of compression.. L/Stock (stick) ..of course

Build it with a big FE and go Nostalgia Super Stock, there's already a number of them racing in the NMCA and NSS.
