The wind gusts are ramping up in a very big way at this time, 6:50pm, in Stamford CT. I'm amazed we still have power, but I'm sure it won't be long until we are in the dark.
Stay tuned.

The eye is currently passing over us as we speak in Vineland / Millville, NJ. Lights flickered a few times but, right now it's very eerie as the rain has calmed down and the wind is at a standstill. Supposed to pick back up in the next hour though as the back band is going to hit us....supposed to stop raining around 7am on Wednesday.

AC got hit really hard, most of the town is under water along with Rio Grande, Wildwood, Etc. just hope that Ken didn't get it that bad as he's about 20 minutes from where I live. My Brother works down in Pomona (About 10 minutes from AC) and was told that his job wouldn't open till at least Wednesday.

Weather channel said 3 ft waves were hitting the boardwalk in wildwood, and I'll tell ya that boardwalk is a pretty good distance from the ocean.

Rich,

The eye came through about 6:30, we where lucky no damage or flooding. The shore however is under water from the surge. For a hour or so it was dead calm when the eye went through. No rain no wind, kind of weird. Now the wind's have picked up, but still not bad.

A few months ago we got a storm that was a lot worse than this, lost power for 5 days, looked like a war zone. This time the coast took the brunt of it. Jack is not in AC, he is at his home in PA. He said it was raining but I have not heard from him in a while. The storm is heading his way, but should be a little diminished by now.

How are things up there?

Hi Ken.....Wicked winds here last night and damage everywhere. We are off the charts busy and it is beyond anything we have ever had and we have had some biggies before.....I never lost power for more than a few minutes at home and have very little damage but it was not a nice night.....We are on generator power at the shop and all the towns around us are out......

Glad your ok.......See you at the track my friend....Rich
