Dave Boertman was the scurge of Div 3 for many races. Very Deserving. Hard worker.
Congratulations Dave.

I have never met Dave but back in the 70s at Blainey Drag Strip I lost the clutch in my 69 AMX and I was introduced to Wally who was running the Gremlin Pro Stock Car at the time and the same clutch that he was running was the same type that I had,He gave me a new disc and plate and told me to try it. I did and it worked perfect BTW I even won the race. I went to his Hauler later to pay him for the Clutch and he said that there was no charge, I tried to pay him but he smiled and said no. Wally Booth has always been one of my heros for racing AMC Cars and just being a very nice Guy.

If it were not for Wally Booth racing would have been way more difficult for me and my longtime partner Paul Mercure. The support we received from him and Dick Arons was monumental and it goes without saying they were both hugely responsible for our successes.

Dave Boertman..what can I say. From the day we met at the Lou's Speed Shop vs the Rod Shop Match Race Challenge at Marion County back in 72, it has been a real pleasure knowing him!

These guys really deserve this honor!
