Tony@BES is very proud of that little 283, but he is very secretive of other peoples combos! He wont say a word except it is very cool.

Wade--in the one external picture of the engine, what are the hoses going from the valve cover to the fuel pump block-off plate? Are they to equalize pressure?

No, we were checking pan pressure. On that dyno session, we tested some different pan evac systems to see how much vacuum we could get and hold. The rubber hose that is t'd into the side hooks to the vacuum gauge on the dyno

Tony chases after horsepower. He loves heads up racing. We were dead headed on the dyno with issues on the Qjet...Tony comes in makes a couple of changes and boom we are 25HP better. It is showing up on the ET slip too.

Tony doesnt do tricks of the week. He just does all the regular stuff very well. I do piss him off from time to time, especially when I put my 1970 Catalina air cleaner and made 8-10HP. He said he couldnt believe I put that ugly thing on his dyno and put his head in his hands.

They go to a very small nitrous bottle. What other explanation can there be? Wade is one of my Stock heros, one day I hope to see that car in person. Jim
