I don't think Jim's motor is legal the way it was in the corvette. There is a big difference in head cc's. shortblock should be fine though.

Thumbs up Re: INDY Stock #1 Qualifier

OK,
Chip is correct, Bill Plage did a hell of a job with the motor.
Jim sold the Corvette with the motor & spare parts .
The truck idea came from Jim I think, I'm not sure but I know we talked about it over 6 months ago.
Bill spent the better part of two months building the 350 !
I'll put a $1000.00 up that it will pass tear down, Bill is a good friend and I know He checked and doubled checked everything on that motor...Because He knew it would go to tear down,,,,,,
Those that don't know Bill should know that He's raced for 40 plus years and has always built his own stuff.
He moved to North Carolina 20 years ago and for a time worked for Hedrick Racing and Bill Davis Racing in the engine shop,, Enough said,,,,,
Is it a soft combo ? yeah, but no more than the new stuff out there...
Can it run faster ? You'll need to ask Paul or Jim.. lol
Congrat's to Bill , Jimmy, Paul and Guy's !!!
You earned that one !!!!

I suport Ken 100% about my frend Bill Plage.BTW I spoke to Bill yesterday about the talk on Class Racer about swaping the Corvette Engine to the Truck and he said and I quote that engine in the Truck is not from the Corvette and it is a complete new engine and would pass any teardown. CASE CLOSED

To whom it may concern, the truck works like a late 80's pro stock, weight transfer is incredible, truck looks good.Congrats

I always appreciate support from the flying Hawaiian. The piston and rods are new and were carefully weighed before assembly. There are no corvette parts in the motor. I don't take Indy lightly.
