Default Re: Marty Rinehart's COPO

Talked to Marty Saturday afternoon when I saw them working on the electrical system. I jokingly asked if the car had a warranty and Marty pointed to the radiator lying on the ground and said "That should have." Seem it blew in the lights and the car got a little loose. They were trying to take the cooling fans off the ECM and wire them for manual operation.

The last run in the video with the smoke in the lights must have been to run where the radiator split.

After replacing the radiator, they were still having cooling problems, the thought being that the radiator is too small.

Or a possible head gasket. Sounds like they need a large expantion tank on the cooling system as well.

Its possible on the new cars with a reverse cooling system if all the air is not purged correctly from the system after refill it will cause major issues....just a thought

Anyone have the incrementals from his runs in the videos? Wondering what his 60' and 1/8th-mile were?

Hope to see all the Super Cars in action at Indy (from the stands) if I can get off work.
