Kevin Helms won 3 straight World Titles if I recall right. Pretty hard to do better than that.
Jim Waldo won many times over the years in various cars. Also tough to match his record.... Jim Hughes was another racer that sure could win the big races.... Many guys did well for a few years and could be listed but I don't think anyone could match the previous 3.... Alan Peters was always one of my favorites from this area....and way back....Truman Fields with his Hard Times Firebird.....

Well if it's no holds barred.......
How about Kenny Dondero driving Bob Panella's Anglia running a 292CI Small Block Chevy with a blower and a 4 speed in B/GS........................ No Clutchless Transmissions........... No Slipper Clutches................. Bob

Truman won back to back IHRA world championships in 1982 and 1983. Was the Car craft allstar driver of the year in stock in 83. He should be mentioned in the early years.
The guys in Division 1 were and are still some of the best. Bednaz ( Ed) Bednaz (Todd) Bob Broadbent Dean Cook and Sam Murry Quote:

Some of you guys need to read the first Post/Question that was asked, then you can delete Kevin Helms from you list, and yes from 1990 to current he is one of the best!

For a man that doesn't run very much, I would give Randy Shepard recognition.
I have had the opportunity to watch him beat my Dad a few times at Brainerd and also myself atleast once. We don't get a lot of chances to race up here, but Mr. Shepard is not an easy customer in the Orange Pumpkin...
