I have commented on this before. With a son as a full time serviceman, I asked him about the sponsorships of race team and fishing teams.
He said the military is after a better grade of serviceman/woman and the feeling was anyone who attended the racing or fishing events had an interest in competition and more then likely had more intiative and intelligence then the average recruit smoking dope on a street corner in down town punkville. I hate to see the sponsorships go. The long term result will be seen in the quality of recruits and eventually servicemen/women that come into and serve in the military. I don't forsee that quality to go up! #5457 Curt Rees

Yeah, its really stupid all the military people that got to attend a race and learn something constructive like racing. Or getting a free day outwith there families to enjoy things many never would have existed. I bet Don and crew have done many nice things we neverwill ever know, which is fine by me, not my business.
So this will affect all motorsports and all branches of military gov't. Yeah, it is nice to know the money was spent on entertainment as opposed to in the middle east or some other death trap. Anothe rsad day in america for many. Don't forget, there will be jobs lost in all reality, but you got no worries, right? Mr.Fahey, I agree with you 100 percent. Chris O'Keefe |

The statement of "not used to kill people is stupid" we don't like that the armed forces is out of motorsports.
This is just a small taste of what is to come, in a second term Obama run Military. Or him cutting the military . |

Why don't they cut the use of Air Force One for these non essential trips it is always going on. How about they use our health care system and retirement systems.

emotions run us all quite often, but we need to stick together. I hope they leaveit be.
I remember Larry Nance at NYIRP in his Military sposored, spoke well to many of us there. Military presense as it has been is always a good feeling at the races. |
