John Gallina ran that number unfactored at Mission B.C. 7.98 in may of 2003.

John Clegg's car has no help from a turbocharger or a supercharger. It's all motor and naturally aspirated. Now that's horsepower the old school way!!!!

One thing about racing John, I don't see him long. "I don't see him!" "Is he coming??" "Where is he??" "Oh Crap!! There he is!!" LOL

It almost rocks my car as he blasts by. :-)

Broke my engine badly at Houston. Don't see how I can get it fixed that quick.

Not trying to take anything from Clegg's runs at all but, the "Red Rocket" that was mentioned earlier also makes its power naturally and is only 358 cubes of high reving MOPAR! And has been running in the 7's for some time

Not taking anything from Gove, but Clegg is punching a much bigger hole in the air

Just maybe there should be a "Shoot Out" for the Quickest and Fastest Super Stocker On the Planet at Vegas in October .Just maybe I could raise some money for the Shoot Out at Vegas what does all think It would be fun for all and by October I could have a good size purse or even a Sponsor. The Shoot Out could be during Qualifying ?? anyone interested???

Well,i guess i'll put my 2 cents in.i gave a congrats to the guy in that little red car & a hand shake, when he went 7.96 at the grove.now i'm going to give john a congrats for his 7.96,since he commented on my success in the dragster in 1993 about me going 8.49 at the time i was the fastest car on the planet!! I'm only repeating what was said.ha! Ha!

Sounds like a good idea to me. I would assume that Scott is going to try to get his record back sometime this year since he usually tries to reset it every year and Randy Jones has a fast SS/AM car as well. I don't know if Sonny Stancil would be interested is taking weight out of his SS/BM car but they could have a possible chance at the pot too. And of course, those boosted 1200HP mustangs have a great shot at it as well. Oh, and John may lower the ET next week at Belle Rose assuming the weather is as good as it has been in previous years. The morning sessions are usually mid 60's with pretty good air.
